Farook Training College, established in 1961 by Rauzathul Uloom Association, is the first teacher training college managed by the Muslim Minority in the state of Kerala. Its primary objective is to promote education in Malabar and provide quality teacher education to all classes of people. The college aims to attract and encourage talented students to pursue a teaching profession, particularly among financially and educationally backward Muslim minority students and other marginalized sections of society. Initially affiliated with the University of Kerala, it later became affiliated with the University of Calicut in 1968.

⮚      The major activities are in accordance with the vision and mission of the college that is to become a center par excellence in Teacher Education, unique in Experience, Value-based on approach and Pioneering in efforts for enriching and fulfilling the life of all and To impart state-of-the-art knowledge into pre-service teachers in various educational disciplines and to inculcate in them a high degree of social consciousness and human values, thereby enabling them and their students to face the challenges of life with courage and conviction

⮚      The college has taken up the responsibility of imparting necessary, effective and practical education to the students so that they can reach great heights and attain maximum achievements in their life

    Currently, the college offers education courses at both graduate and postgraduate levels in B.Ed, providing 7 optional subjects, including Mathematics, Physical Science, Natural Science, Social Studies, English, Malayalam, and Commerce. The M.Ed course, which started in 1995, offers two electives - Educational Technology and Guidance and Counseling. Additionally, IGNOU has recognized this college as a program center for the B.Ed Course, and all the courses offered are recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education.

    With its excellent infrastructure and premium faculty, the college aims to make distinctive and eloquent contributions to the field of teacher education and promote research in various branches of teacher education. It seeks to nurture a quest for excellence by providing equitable and accessible opportunities to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, thereby building their capacities and fostering a commitment to the teaching profession and high moral values.
