On the Successful Completion of the Course, the prospective teacher will be able to

1.      Analyse the meaning, nature and functions of psychology as a science by following the historical trends in the problems and methods of various approaches in studying human behaviour so as to identify the relevance of each of these for the teaching and learning systems and practices.

2.      Relate and compare the various Stages of Development, with added emphasis on adolescence, in terms of the developmental principles, theories, tasks and hazards in areas including cognitive, moral and psychosocial aspects and thereby formulate implications for relevant educational systems and practices
